Autodesk Revit Architecture: Area and Volume Computations

In a recent technical support case a Revit MEP user opened a Revit MEP file in Revit Architecture to find that the spaces added in Revit MEP were not recognizing the ceiling boundaries and floors in Revit Architecture, but in Revit MEP they were! The user had spent hours and hours trying to figure out what was going on before contacting our support desk. It turned out to be a simple setting – we were able to get back to him immediately.

It was checking the ‘Compute Areas and Volumes’ option ‘Areas and Volume Computations’ of the ‘Room and Area’ Settings in Revit Architecture!
