The Pressure Drop Calculation Methods are updated in Revit MEP 2015 with further options built in to the pull down menu. Previous versions only came with one calculation option available or required a 3rd party add-in to change methods.
Several of the more common or useful friction factor formulas have been added to the dropdown. These include the Altshul-Tsal, Colebrook and Halland Equations for Duct and variations for Pipe. The ability to use a different Calculation Method can improve accuracy in the model.
The new pull down menu is accessed through the Mechanical Settings in the Manage Tab for both Duct and Piping Calculations. Selecting the Calculation Method in either Duct or Pipe will show the drop down menu and supporting formula below.
